Legal provisions
1. OBJECT This regulation aims to govern the conditions for the entry of dogs into the OFondue Restaurant establishment, defining the rules and obligations to which the owners/responsible parties for the animals are subject. Only dogs will be allowed access.
2. ANIMAL ENTRY 2.1 Dogs are only allowed entry when properly accompanied by their owner or responsible person.
2.2 Based on Decree-Law No. 82/2019, of June 27, it is mandatory for dogs to have an electronic identification chip implanted.
2.3 Only dogs with the following vaccinations are allowed entry: Rabies; Distemper; Canine Parvovirus; Leptospirosis; Kennel Cough.
2.4 Owners must carry their "Good Citizen Dog" card or Health Certificate, which must be up to date. Whenever they visit the restaurant, they must present their "Good Citizen Dog" card or Health Certificate at reception upon entry, where the animal's identification details will be recorded.
2.5 Dogs, accompanied by their owners, may enter the establishment through the restaurant's main entrance.
2.6 A maximum of 1 dog per person is allowed.
2.7 A maximum of 3 animals are allowed at any one time.
3. CIRCULATION 3.1 The circulation of dogs is authorized in the duly demarcated areas (entrance, left side). The entry and circulation of dogs in service areas, near places where food is displayed for sale, is expressly prohibited.
3.2 In accordance with Decree-Law No. 74/2007 of March 27, the prohibitions mentioned in point 3.1 do not apply to assistance dogs, and their entry is permitted in all areas of the establishment.
3.3 Small and medium-sized dogs weighing up to 10 kilos are allowed entry.
3.4 The use of a collar or harness is mandatory, on which the name and address or telephone number of the owner must be placed in any way (Decree-Law No. 314/03, of December 17).
3.5 The use of a short leash is mandatory, or all dogs circulating in the establishment must be properly restrained, as well as the use of a muzzle for dogs taller than 50cm, except for assistance dogs or if the owner/responsible party presents a Socialization Certificate.
3.6 Dogs in heat are not allowed.
3.7 The relieving of dogs' physiological needs inside the establishment is expressly prohibited under penalty of removal from the establishment. If this occurs, the owner/person responsible for the animal must immediately clean it and inform the staff so that they can carry out additional cleaning of the area.
3.8 The owner/responsible party, when accompanied by the dog, may only circulate in properly marked areas; to go to the bathroom, the dog must be carried in their lap or in a suitable carrier.
3.9 OFondue Restaurant reserves the right to request the removal from the premises of animals that disturb or jeopardize the safety and well-being of the establishment's customers, as well as in the case of animals that pose risks to public health.
4. RESPONSIBILITIES 4.1 The owner and/or person responsible for the animal will be solely and exclusively responsible for any damage it may cause, whether to the space where it circulates, clients, or their property.
4.2 This responsibility will not, under any circumstances, be transferred to the OFondue Restaurant.
5. FINAL NOTES 5.1 The customer's entry into the establishment with their dog implies full acceptance of all the rules described.
5.2 Customers accompanied by dogs accept the criteria established by OFondue regarding the resolution of any issue arising from these regulations.
